Current problems on leafletted walks
Mawley Hall: the closure notice wrt Lower Forge has been renewed and it is no longer possible to use the bridge. Additionally the ROW from Upper Forge towards the Hall is also closed. This makes the following walks non viable for the present. Walks 2,3,6,7 and 17. If you have an OS map you may be able to create an alternative. We will post any changes asap.
Walk 24: the longer version is not passable

CMFA maintains footpaths up to 5 miles around Cleobury Mortimer, clearing overgrown routes and putting in gates, stiles, fingerposts etc to make footpaths more accessible.
We are part of a network of volunteer groups in Shropshire and are supported by the Council’s staff. See Footpaths Work
For more information about us, including how to join CMFA see About Us.
Our members lead a range of group walks. These include:
-
Short Walking for Health walks for the little less able.
-
Local Country Walks of about 2 hours on Sunday mornings.
-
Longer Social Walks away from Cleobury.
We produce Walk Leaflets of a range of walks from 2 mile strolls
up to the 14 miles long Simon Evans Way.
The walk guides are available to download or to purchase and they all can now be downloaded to your phone. Please go to the Walk Leaflets page of this website.
WALK PLANNING AND FOOTPATH PROBLEMS:
There are many oddities on our footpath network which are not obvious from looking at a map if you are not familiar with the area. We offer advice to walk planners here. However, we cannot keep track of all problems that arise on footpaths throughout the area, but we will post here and on our Facebook page when we know of any new issues. If you discover any problems or would like advice about a specific route email feedback@cmfa.co.uk"

When walking in the countryside, please follow the Countryside Code. This link will open an informative leaflet on the code itself and gives plenty of information on the need for control of your dog, respecting the privacy of land owners and other matters.
